THUNDERSTORMS...FORGETFUL...

Updated: Sep 8, 2022

This week nothing too excited has happened, except for the storms that we have been having. I was one of the lucky ones and did not get hit by the great storm that came by last Sunday in Calgary.

It dropped a lot of water, causing flooding and the golf ball-size hail that came down, damaged a lot of property. I really feel for those people.

When the weather was nice I headed up to Forget Me Not Pond. I went out to take pictures of anything that I could see. I even drove all the way up to K-country. I saw some wild horses and other wildlife, but did I get any pictures? Ugh, forgot my card for my camera! Kids and I had fun though.

Then this evening another big thunderstorm came over. Gave off a big rainbow. A double rainbow, so there I am outside getting wet trying to get a picture of this rainbow, and once again, no card for my camera. Then I have my 6 year old grandson telling me to put my rain coat on so I would not get all wet, since I had to go into the house, anyway. He tells me don’t forget your card for the camera. I think I need to have him around more often for things like this, either that or learn to always carry a spare lol.

I did manage to get some pictures of the rainbow. My camera was getting a little wet as you can see from the spots, which is kind of different. Nothing fancy.

I am still open to receiving more of your stories and poems for my cookbook. I have already put in some of my wacky stories so now I need yours. So please go to my webpage, follow this link https://www.wayofthewest.net/your-stories-poems , this is where you can send me your stories. You can also email me at barbarasphotos@outlook.com with the subject line: Stories & Poems.

I will leave with these quotes

Life isn't finding shelter in the storm. It's about learning to dance in the rain. - Sherrilyn Kenyon
