SOMETHING NEW

Updated: Sep 8, 2022

This past week, it was very nice out, except, for the wind. It sure can blow at our place. But I will sure take it anytime, instead of the cold and wet snow. I think Mother Nature has finally given up on that stuff. Most of the snow has melted away, still a few drifts left in the fields or on the side of the roads. The ranch yards are starting to dry up which is real nice. We don’t really need those gum boots to get to the barn anymore. The evening are getting longer. Which, I just love. It gives me more time in a day to be able to do what I like. The grandkids are staying out and enjoying the nicer weather and longer days to.

This week I picked up a new toy, that I am so excited to have. It’s been a long time in coming, but, so well worth the wait. I picked up a new 150mm – 600mm lens. Man does it come up with some wicked pictures. I am so in my glory right now so very excited to see what all I can do with it. I am trying to learn everything I can about it and just having a blast while I am taking pictures. Looking forward to some neat picture that I can share with you all. I did manage to get out the other day and grab some pictures of a eagle sitting up in a pole. Then of course my ponies.

I am receiving some of your awesome stories and poems, please keep them coming. This book is shaping up to look pretty good. So don’t forget about your wild crazy cowboying story or poem. I am still looking for more for my cookbook. If you would like to have a story put in, follow this link https://www.wayofthewest.net/your-stories-poems , this is where you can send me your stories. You can also email me at barbarasphotos@outlook.com with the subject line: Stories & Poems.

I will leave you with there quotes:

Don’t dream of success make a plan and act upon it. Your moment creates the door upon which opportunity knocks. - Dr Steve Marabolm
